Perfect Light
The mountain in all her glory, and a slug-cloud photobomb.
Later, we watched the storm come in. Security blankie, optional.

The Road
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
Sun and Hackles, Rising
Before the madness that was my Thursday, a peaceful interlude. Enchanted in the cool stillness, I watched the sky cycle from first, faint peach blush,
to clouds aglow,
to spears of sunlight, piercing blue heavens.
Healing glory of the southwestern sunrise, the calm before the chaos of my day, interviews and fiercely hackled hounds.

Sandia Mountain Sunset
Light and cloud give the mountain a thousand moods, a million expressions. Whether hidden behind a veil of mist, or wantonly naked, drenched in sun, she keeps her pose of dignified grace, each aspect another facet of enchantment.

Incandescent Morning Sky
Quiet amid the cool, hushed hills, alone on the deck after a sleepless night. A fiery pegasus leaps from incandescent clouds, blazing like my heart, to ignite the morning sky.
